Take The Tram
Did you know that the Blackpool Tramway is one of the earliest electric tramways in the world, dating back to 1885? This 11-mile track extends from Starr Gate at the southern end of Blackpool to Fleetwood, transporting millions of visitors a year.
With services operating every 15 minutes during the day, it is the easiest way to explore, and alongside the modern light rail trams, you’ll also find vintage Heritage Trams operating tours between Pleasure Beach and the North Pier - just look for the 'Heritage Tram Tours' stops, identifiable by a green circular sign.
Blackpool is known all over the world for its Illuminations, and Blackpool Transport’s specially illuminated trams have long been part of the massive festival of lights. You can even hop on board one for a unique way to see the festival of lights for yourself. Why get stuck in a car when you can ride the tram in style?
