Catering Operations Manager – Coral Island, Blackpool

Coral Island is one of Blackpool’s premier food and beverage destinations. Our catering operation includes a 300-seater family bar and restaurant, Captain Jack’s Bar & Grill, the vibrant and trendy Coral Harbour food hall, and four award-winning fish and chip shops.

We are seeking a Catering Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our award-winning, NFFF-accredited fish and chip shops, ensuring smooth running, high standards, and exceptional customer experiences.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone confident managing a large operation, supporting a team of 20–30, and maintaining excellence across service, food quality, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the team, inspiring high performance and professionalism.
• Ensure all staff complete tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent standards.
• Maintain product quality using only fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Take a proactive, hands-on approach to all aspects of the operation.
• Report directly to the Senior Operations Manager.
• Uphold the core objectives of the business, including flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and in a fast-paced environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a management role, leading a large team.
• Experience in fish and chip shop operations is highly advantageous.
• Strong background in catering, food, or hospitality operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident interacting with team members at all levels and with suppliers.
• Committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and hardworking approach with a strong work ethic.

Contract and Salary:

• Full-time, permanent position.
• £32,000 per annum plus bonus.
