Easter at Coral Island

Are you planning a trip to Blackpool over the Easter holidays? Whether you’re planning a mini-break with the kids or simply having a fun day out, there’s something for everyone in Blackpool, and if you visit Coral Island, there could be a bonus treat!

Coral Island is Blackpool’s largest free-admission attraction, packed with games, rides, family-friendly restaurants, and this Easter, from Thursday 28th March until Sunday 31st March they are giving away a free Cadbury’s Easter Egg to visitors. Easter is an exciting time for kids, not only marking the end of the winter school term, and the promise of summer holidays just over the horizon, it also is a good reason to indulge in chocolate treats and fun games and activities such as Easter egg hunts, egg and spoon races, and maybe even meeting the Easter bunny!

But there’s more than one chocolate egg-shaped reason to visit Coral Island this Easter, as there’s fun and games for the entire family, and for kids of all ages - even the grown-up ones!

Whether you’re exploring the beach, seeking out white-knuckle roller coasters, or strolling along the promenade, you’ll be sure to work up an appetite, and you know the kids will be hungry too if they haven't already gorged on all the chocolatey Easter treats.

Coral Island has numerous family-friendly restaurants, including The NEW Coral Harbour Kitchen and Bar plus the usual favourites - The Buccaneer Bar , set in the heart of a pirate galleon, where our pirate-themed staff will serve generous portions of reliable family favourites, and there’s the Three Meat Sunday carver for a good traditional Sunday roast.

And of course there are also several traditional chippys for the essential fish and chips by the sea.

What’s even better is that in many of our restaurants, kids eat for free! All-day, every day, with no vouchers necessary, just look for the Yellow Kids Eat Free stamp in each of Coral Island’s fabulous restaurants. Have a look at our website for more information on participating restaurants.

But you didn’t come all the way to the famous Lancashire seaside town just to eat! If there’s one thing that kids of all ages love about visiting Blackpool, it has to be trying your luck in the arcades. If you’re looking for the flashing lights, whistles and sirens, and thrills of arcade games and traditional seaside games, then Coral Island is the place for you.

When it comes to traditional seaside arcade games, everyone loves to play the 2p Pushers, carefully and strategically dropping your two-pence coins on the moving shelf to try and get the prizes on offer to drop. Blackpool is famous for its push-penny machines, and the penny-pushers at Coral Island are loaded with keyring, 100,000 of which are won and find new homes every year!

Another seaside arcade favourite is the crane grabbers, where you can put your skills to the test to try and grab and win a soft toy from your favourite Disney movies, whether that’s Buzz Lightyear or Woody, Winnie the Pooh or Tigger, or even Elsa from Frozen.

Coral Island also has numerous ticket games, where you can win tickets by shooting hoops, blasting zombies with water cannons, or knocking down clowns. Why not try that seaside favourite, the Camel Race, as you roll balls in the different holes to get your camel and rider to the finish line first to win big!

And what do tickets mean? Prizes, of course! The more tickets you collect, the bigger and better the prizes you can exchange them for at the Prize Shop.

There are not only kids’ toys on offer, as you can also win PlayStations, TVs, iPads and remote control cars. Have you got the funfair skills to win all the tickets you need for a dream prize?

It wouldn’t be a visit to Blackpool without enjoying the rides with the Pirate Flyer monorail, taking you on a trip high above the arcades and crowds of Coral Island. If you’re looking for something a little spooky and scary, then Coral Island’s Ghost Train will take you on a haunted journey through the shipwrecked remains of a sunken galleon, where Captain Jack and his fateful crew guard the rubies they have pirated from the high seas. Keep an eye out for the hidden rubies!

Coral Island prides itself on being family-friendly fun, but there is also a casino and an over-18s area packed with fruit machines and games for the grown-ups, with free food and drink offers daily.

You’ll also find bars and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Captain Jack’s Bar & Grill is famous for its double dipped, extra-wide, pork ribs and stacker-burgers, as well as a range of beverages to quench your thirst.

You’ll find Coral Island tucked between Blackpool’s famous tower and SEA LIFE Blackpool, right in the centre of the seaside town. What’s more, is that Coral Island has the largest number of free toilets along the whole of the Fylde Coast, so pop in to use the facilities and stay for a family adventure.
