We're collecting for the NHS at our doors and donating all face-covering sales
What we're doing:
Coral Island is asking our visitors to use a face covering if possible. We check the temperature of our visitors on entry and offer a disposable face mask for 50p if needed. All the funds (not just profit) are being donated to our local NHS trust in Blackpool. Blackpool NHS have a charity called Blue Skies and this is who receives all the money you have helped us raise during COVID-19
We raised close to £2500 in August 2020 and we continue to collect and donate until further notice.
Update: July 2021 we have raised close to £6500 in total
Facts:
The Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the Corporate Trustee of the Charity and governed by the law applicable to NHS Foundation Trusts, principally the Trustee Act (2000) and the Charities Act (1993, 2006 and 2011). The NHS Foundation Trust Board has devolved responsibility for the ongoing management of funds to the Charitable Funds Committee, to administer the funds on behalf of the Corporate Trustee. The Committee meets on a quarterly basis.
