UK Staycations are back!
Over the last decade, Blackpool has shunned its reputation for stag and hen dos and kiss-me-quick hats, and undergone somewhat of a renaissance. UK staycations are now back in vogue, as British holidaymakers rediscover what the country can offer them, largely due to the international travel restrictions of the past few years.
Whether you’re wanting to see a show, visit The Blackpool Tower Circus, or simply relax on the beach, you’ll need somewhere to stay! The Victorian seaside resort has all the options, from cheap and cheerful B&Bs to luxury hotels, so we have a look at some of the best on offer for your trip to Blackpool this summer!
Hotels
It would be impossible to make a detailed list of all the amazing hotels in Blackpool, but we have picked three of the best for you here:
Boulevard Hotel (£££)
A recent addition to the town is the Boulevard Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel found right next to the Pleasure Beach, placing it right in the best area to stay while on holiday in Blackpool, whether it’s for a romantic getaway for two or a family vacation.
Being right on the seafront means that you’re within walking distance of all the main and many attractions that Blackpool has to offer, such as the aforementioned Pleasure Beach, the South Pier, Sandcastle Waterpark, Madame Tussauds, and many more.
With sea views, fine dining at the Beachside Restaurant and the Surfside Café, as well as the private hire Ocean Club, followed by long walks by the sea as the sun sets over the Irish Sea, it’s ideal for romantic getaways.
There is a range of room sizes, including regular, executive, and family rooms, and guests also have the option to get special tickets to the Pleasure Beach that allow entry to the Park via a private entrance for the first 90 minutes of each day.

Imperial Hotel Blackpool (££)
This historic 4-star hotel can be found on the quieter North Shore of the resort, a ten-minute stroll from the North Pier. It may be a little further away from the main attractions of Blackpool, but it also makes it a little quieter for those who do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of the promenade.
The Victorian hotel dates back to 1867, giving guests a glimpse into the history of Blackpool, and is known for its period features and architecture, such as its high-vaulted ceiling bar that has served many British Prime Ministers during its long history.
The traditionally furnished rooms are available in a range of sizes, including family rooms, and the Imperial’s charm and provenance have ensured it is always been a popular choice for visitors.

The Lawton (£)
Just outside Blackpool town centre, but well within walking distance is The Lawton, a 3-star hotel that has proved popular with those seeking lower-budget accommodation. The rooms are traditional and basic but comfortable and suitable for groups of all sizes, including large families.
There is a restaurant for a delicious breakfast, as well as a bar, and there is a fantastic selection of local restaurants for dinner all within a short stroll of the hotel.

B&Bs
There are so many quaint and charming bed & breakfasts in Blackpool if you’re looking for something a little smaller. Again, there are far too many to mention, but here are three of the best for all budgets:
Number One South Beach (£££)
This 5-star, small luxury boutique hotel can be found close to the Southern end of the promenade, providing stylishly decorated rooms, fine linen, sea views, and whirlpool baths! It’s ideal for a luxurious romantic long weekend, and while it might just be a little out of the busier areas of the town, it’s an excellent base for sightseeing and a short walk from the attractions of Blackpool.
There is a fantastic on-site restaurant and bar, and also free parking.
The Redstone Guesthouse (££)
Set close to the beach, between Central and South Pier, The Redstone Guesthouse has amassed some of the best ratings in Blackpool. You can walk to all the main attractions within 10 to 20 minutes, or hop on a tram to take you up or down the coast.
Guests have the option of a delicious breakfast and a variety of homemade cakes! The accommodation is traditional, with a contemporary twist, and there is also a bar to relax in after a long day of exploring the famous seaside town.

Hornby Villa (£)
This 4-star B&B is a highly rated destination that specialises in providing relaxing breaks for couples and families and offers some of the best value for mid to lower budgets. It’s in a quiet area of the town, but only a 10-minute walk from the main attractions, including Blackpool Tower and The Winter Gardens.
The B&B does have a minimum stay requirement of two to three nights during the busier periods but provides welcoming accommodation with homely touches, such as the homemade preserves served with breakfast.
